Geoff Capes is 70 years young

Geoff was 70 years young on 23^rd August. Friends and family celebrated with a party in his back garden in the lovely summer weather. Guests included Stuart Storey, Geoff’s former trainer and sports commentator, and former Blue Peter presenter, Radzi Cinyanganya.

Stuart as Geoff’s mentor and friend for 50 years, by his side for most of his memorable sporting achievements, was also by his side giving a speech reminiscing about Geoff’s illustrious sporting career, with a  few funny stories mixed in.

As a reflection of Geoff Capes’s popularity amongst generations of children and young people, Radzi Cinyanganya, a favourite amongst Blue Peter fans, joined the celebrations, meeting fans and offering his insight on a range of topics close to the hearts of children and young people.
